About me                          

Although a political scientist by education, I find the English language my life’s greatest passion and I have been mastering it for almost 20 years. I am a finalist of the English Contest for Students of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań in 2001.  In 2003 I was awarded the Certificate in Advanced English. Between 2003 – 2004 I studied international relations at Södertörns högskola in Stockholm where I also had an opportunity to develop my language skills by studying Rhetoric in English and Academic Writing.  For the last five years I have been working as a private teacher of English. For more than two years I have been working as a full-time translator for an international construction company which specialises in road construction. In 2008 I was awarded the Certificate of Proficiency in English.

Experience

Written translations of company’s current correspondence. So far I have translated around 3000 documents of different types. I specialise in translating technical documents (technical specifications, minutes of meetings, approvals of materials, formulas, declarations of conformity, etc.) and legal documents (contracts, annexes, bank guarantees, settlements, statements of claim, notices, complaints, damage notifications, etc.). Moreover, I translate all other important documents concerning company’s activities.  

Interpreting - consecutive, whispered, de liaison during working meetings, technical meetings, negotiations with subcontractors, meetings with representatives of state and local authorities, both from English into Polish, and from Polish into English. A vista interpreting into English.
